Towards a more Resilient Investment Climate for Sustained Economic Growth

As noted earlier, following presentation of the country’s Medium Term National Development Plan (2019 to 2023) to the Chamber by the former Minister of Planning and Economic Development; Hon Nabeela Tunis, the broader consensus was for the Chamber to sustain this dialogue with Government through an expanded forum. The Chamber has further engaged with the (i)Minister of Finance (ii) Minister of Trade and Industry (iii) Minister of Planning and Economic Development (iv) Minister of Labour & Social Security and (v) Office of the Attorney General & Minister of Justice.

The Chamber is currently finalising our “Position Paper” following consultation with a cross section of the membership.  This paper will  seek to articulate our views on issues considered critical for the successful implementation of the plan and also in promoting and sustaining foreign direct investment in the country.  The paper will be forwarded to the various Government Ministers/Representatives and all other attendees not later than Thursday 30th May 2019. Event agenda to be included.

The Chamber reaffirm its commitment in working with the Government of Sierra Leone in creating a credible, dependable and sustainable strategic partnership aimed at transforming Sierra Leone into an investment friendly destination.

Kindly confirm your attendance by return mail.
